Job Description:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for handling financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting month-end closing activities. Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing invoices and completing vendor invoice packages within two business days.
• Ensuring compliance with all organizational policies and procedures.
• Coordinating, preparing, and verifying supporting documentation to ensure accurate and timely invoice processing and general ledger recording.
• Entering vendor invoices into accounting software.
• Serving as a liaison between the organization and vendors.
• Maintaining general ledger accounts and assisting with month-end closing.
• Conducting monthly aging reviews with the Accounts Payable Supervisor.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• Experience with general ledger accounting.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, mission-driven environment.
