Patient Financial Representative Location Arden Hills, MN :

We are currently seeking a full-time Financial Services Representative to join our Arden Hills Business Office. Nystrom & Associates, Ltd . is a team of mental health professionals that specialize in psychiatric evaluations, clinical social work, and family therapy. We are committed to helping patients in our community who are experiencing personal, emotional, marriage, family, or psychological problems. Founded in 1991, we offer an intensive outpatient chemical dependency program, psychological testing, and behavioral health and medication management services.

In this role, you would field inbound/outbound patient calls regarding their balances, resolve patient inquiries over the phone, establish payment plans with patients, and prepare patient refunds. This position has the opportunity to work from home 80% of the time. * The expectation is one day a week in the office for administrative responsibilities along with any additional days as needed for meetings following the training period. The training period is roughly three months. *

Other duties include:

  • Monitoring payment plan adherence
  • Process Bankruptcy notices/discharges
  • Process Mail Returns
  • Process Returned Checks
  • Prepare uncollectible accounts for 3rd party collections
  • Investigate/Research outstanding Self-Pay A/R
  • Field/Resolve provider/clinic inquiries via Email
  • Attend and participate in biweekly staff meetings and any other meetings and/or training sessions as indicated

  • Assist Patients with Setting up Electronic Payments

Hours: Flexible

Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm

Qualifications :

  • Collections and customer service experience; insurance billing follow-up experience; Mental Health experience preferred.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure conflict resolution.
  • Familiarity with insurance company guidelines and HIPPA regulations.
  • Detail-oriented, flexible problem solver; maintains a positive attitude.
  • Computer Experience required; Microsoft Office experience preferred.
  • High school graduate or above.
