Job Description

Distinctive Home & Health Care is a leading provider of healthcare to serve military installations across the United States. Our team of professionals is dedicated to providing the highest quality of service and support for each one of our clients. Distinctive Healthcare is currently seeking to hire a full tume Emergency Medicine Physician (PRN) at the Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX.

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree/Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada. This degree shall have been accredited by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM).
Basic Life Support: Maintain certification in Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and in Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS).
Two years of experience as a practicing independent Emergency Medicine Physician in the last three (3) years. All HCW shall have residency training and completion of a three (3) year Emergency Medicine program accredited by the American College
Graduate Medical Education. All HCW shall have two (2) years of experience of full-time work in the American College of Surgeons accredited Level 1 Trauma Center. All HCW shall have two (2) years of teaching and clinical emergency medicine experience post residency, encompassing all aspects of academic emergency medicine. This includes education of resident and interns. The HCW shall have proven academic potential as demonstrated by teaching publications and specialty society membership.
Board Certification: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine from the ABEM or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Physicians.
Licensure/Registration: The contract HCP shall possess and maintain a valid unrestricted current Texas license and current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration number (certificate) to prescribe controlled substances.
