An exciting career pathway for new graduates looking to specialize in ICU. This RN role will begin in our medical surgical unit with the intent to move to an RN ICU position with shadow shifts and touchpoints with the ICU.
5SE Medical Surgical Unit is a 47-bed unit serving various medical patients as well as transplant, nephrology, urology, oral-maxillary/facial, surgical oncology, gynecologic, colorectal, breast, plastics and general surgery patients. We are looking for candidates who have a passion for meeting the needs of our complex medical/surgical patients! 2E ICU is an 18 bed ICU encompassing the 2nd floor of the East tower at Sanford Health Broadway Hospital in the heart of downtown Fargo. While we have a focus in oncology, you find that we see a variety of medical and surgical ICU patients. We care for complex surgical cases that require ICU care as well as kidney transplants and bone marrow transplants. As an Academic Teaching Facility, you can expect that you will receive education and experience with all these types of patients as well as your typical medical ICU patients. We offer Clinical Lanes for our nurses with pay increases after each lane is completed. There are a number of professional development opportunities for education, serving on committees and training to be a preceptor or rapid response nurse.New Graduate support: Sanford Nurse Residency has recently been accredited by the ANCC Practice Transition Program to provide additional support as one transition from the student nurse role into a professional RN role.

Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
