Our San Dimas, California, location is in need of a Lead Piping Designer to support several existing and upcoming projects in the area. Duties and Responsibilities: Managing high value engineering support work Generating detailed models of piping systems Determining optimum equipment and piping layout and tie-in locations Participating in internal 3D model reviews and client model reviews as required Performing vendor data review of equipment and components Serving in the lead role on one or more projects and providing guidance for Senior Designers and Design Drafters Professional interaction with engineering staff Assisting Design Manager/Coordinator in identifying scope changes and staffing recommendations Performing preliminary drawing checks before packages reach the Design Manager Participating in inter-discipline and cross-discipline checks Reviewing and checking completed designs Coordinating cross-discipline communications at Design Manager's request Required Qualifications: 15-20 years related design experience. 3D modeling experience, master level Master-level experience with cutting & annotating plan & section drawings Basic knowledge of materials Proficiency in field verification and measurements Working knowledge of codes and standards Working knowledge of reference documents and guides Complete mastery of Design Drafter & Senior Designer essential functions Very Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, CADWorx Plant, ISOGEN, CADWorx P&ID and Microsoft Office products.
