Your Role:
As our Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing the fund's financial reporting and accounting activities. This is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for high-level financial analysis, regulatory compliance, and streamlining our accounting processes. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and external auditors to ensure that the fund’s financial operations run smoothly, accurately, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the preparation and review of financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Oversee the accounting and reconciliation of investment transactions, portfolios, and fund activities.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP) and regulatory requirements, while driving improvements to financial reporting systems.
Provide key support during audits, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of information to auditors.
Mentor and lead junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
Assist with tax filings, quarterly reporting, and year-end financial processes.
Collaborate with internal teams to drive financial strategy and improve operational efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within big4 and clients within investment funds, private equity, hedge funds, or related industries.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA is a plus).
Skills: Advanced knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting systems. Strong proficiency with Excel and experience using accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar).
Attributes: Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive. Ability to manage multiple priorities with ease in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
