Position Overview: The Director of Nursing Services RN - Perioperative Services is responsible for directing and managing the planning, development, implementation, delivery, and continuous improvement of quality patient care within multiple departments.
This role focuses on perioperative services and ensures alignment with nursing standards, service priorities, performance measures, and organizational goals.
Compensation: Our client offers a competitive compensation package ranging from
$160,000 to $205,000, commensurate with your experience, education, certifications, and skill set. This reflects a strong commitment to attracting top-tier talent for this pivotal role.
Key Responsibilities: - Direct and manage the delivery of nursing services, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care that meets cost, clinical, and utilization standards.
- Ensure that services align with physician, internal client, and patient needs within a competitive healthcare environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to integrate and enhance services across multiple sites and departments.
- Oversee continuous quality improvement, patient safety, and the implementation of clinical best practices.
- Lead and manage teams effectively, ensuring appropriate staff development, training, and operational efficiency.
- Direct and oversee budget management, resource allocation, and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including local, state, and federal healthcare regulations.
- Hire, develop, and manage nursing staff, addressing human resource and labor relations issues.
- May assume responsibilities of Nurse Executive in their absence.
Qualifications: Basic Requirements: - Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of acute healthcare nursing experience.
- Minimum 4 years of progressive management and supervisory experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in Operating Room (OR).
- Ambulatory Surgery Center ( ASC ) experience of at least 2-3 years.
- Education:
- Master's degree in nursing, health administration, business, public health, or management.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in nursing required.
- License & Certification:
- Active Registered Nurse License (California).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Preferred Qualifications: - Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience working in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
