Join us at Elemental Impact and be part of the next phase of our journey. About the role Elemental is seeking a Creative Project Manager to consult and support our team. In this role, you will manage and deliver a wide range of creative projects that span across digital, print, and event mediums, ensuring our climate and social equity narratives resonate powerfully with our audience. As a steward of our brand and mission, the consultant will lead projects from conception through to execution, collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners to produce inspiring, impactful work. Key responsibilities include: Project leadership: Oversee the entire lifecycle of creative projects, ensuring they align with our mission, meet objectives, and are delivered on time and budget Creative review: Lead the creative review process by optimizing and proofing the work, ensuring it meets high standards before presenting it for executive review Cross-functional collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between the creative team (graphic design, photography, data viz, photo/video, Web/UX, and Events) and other departments, ensuring clear communication and seamless integration of creative strategies and execution Vendor management: Source and manage relationships with external vendors, freelancers, consultants and creative agencies, ensuring quality and alignment with our values. External vendors include photographers, videographers, web/UX design, graphic design, animation and more Strategic planning: Contribute to the strategic planning of our creative endeavors, helping to identify opportunities for impactful storytelling and brand enhancement Process improvement: Continuously seek to improve creative processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and output quality Qualifications (even if you don't meet 100% of the qualifications, we still encourage you to apply!) Desired Skills: 5+ years of experience in project management within a creative or marketing environment Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including experience editing and updating designs in Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop Working knowledge of Figma and experience using it for collaborative design processes A design-led mentality when it comes to proofing early rounds of creative projects, ensuring alignment with brand and creative goals Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver complex projects across multiple mediums (digital, print, events) Strong organizational skills, with a consistent track record of managing deadlines and multitasking effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering strong internal and external relationships Standout Skills: Experience in the climate technology or environmental justice sectors. A Project Management Certification. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Monday, Airtable, Asana, Trello, Basecamp). Compensation and Location: Elemental offers an hourly rate of $60 to $100 per hour, which is based on market data and the organization's compensation philosophy. Elemental has a hybrid working model; this role will be expected to be available remotely during HQ working hours, and possibly in-person once a week in one of our HQ locations: Honolulu, Hawai'i, or San Francisco, California. Some travel may be required for project execution and team collaboration. Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, availability of funds, and compliance with applicable Federal/State laws. Expected Hours and Project Timeline: Approximately 30-40 hours per week; work hours should fall Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT; weekend work might be required occasionally Tentative project dates: November 18, 2024 to April 1, 2025 Other Application Details: We will accept and review applications on a rolling basis.
