Job Description:

Jefferson Wells is seeking experienced Risk and Compliance Consultants to join our team in the greater Chicago area. As a key member of our consulting team, you will lead and perform SOX testing, including control evaluations, walkthroughs, and substantive testing. This role requires a strong understanding of SOX compliance, internal controls, and risk assessment methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and perform SOX testing, including control evaluations, walkthroughs, and substantive testing.
• Assess and evaluate internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation of findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with clients to ensure effective implementation of compliance measures.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of SOX compliance, internal controls, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.
• CPA, CIA, or CISA certification is preferred but not required.
• Proven experience in risk and compliance consulting.
• Ability to travel to client sites in and around the greater Chicago area.
