Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Mechanic / Assembly Technician to join our team. This role involves mechanical assembly, wiring, and integration of automation equipment, robotic systems, and machine vision inspection stations . Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for packaging, shipping, and receiving operations to ensure the efficient handling of equipment and materials.

Key Responsibilities

Assembly & Integration:

• Assemble mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components for automation and vision inspection systems.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions to ensure accurate builds.
• Perform mechanical fitting, alignment, and adjustment of machine components.
• Wire and route cables, sensors, and electrical connections according to specifications.
• Conduct functional testing to verify system operation and troubleshoot any assembly issues.
• Work with engineers to identify design improvements and assembly process optimizations .

Shipping & Receiving:

• Manage incoming and outgoing shipments , ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Package and crate equipment and components for safe transport.
• Coordinate with logistics providers and freight carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain inventory of packaging materials and manage stock levels.
• Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage, reporting any discrepancies.
• Organize and maintain the shipping and receiving area , ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, machine building, or related fields.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, and packaging of industrial equipment .
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments .
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics .
• Experience with automation, robotics, or machine vision systems is a plus.
• Basic understanding of pneumatics, wiring, and industrial hardware .
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.

Preferred Experience (Not Required):

• Familiarity with cobots, industrial robots, or PLC wiring .
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication, welding, or machining .
• Exposure to industrial automation or custom machine integration .
